As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant Project, Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Student Health Center will be closed for a planned power outage on Wednesday, March 26 from 4 – 8 a.m.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? 
Please ensure that all electronic devices not connected to emergency power are powered down and that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Wednesday, March 26. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. Please ensure that all fume hoods are closed before leaving the labs.

Employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules. For more information regarding work scheduling, please refer to the instructions regarding Interruptions of University Operations

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025. Typical work hours for this project will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.   

Impacts for the week of March 24th – 28th 

  • Road work will begin on SW Western Blvd. between SW 35th St. and SW Hanson St.
  • The signal at Western and SW 35th St. will be shut down and transition to a four-way stop during work hours.
  • East and west lanes will remain open for vehicles.
  • Bicycle lanes in this section of Western Blvd. will be closed and bikes will travel in the vehicle lanes.
  • Sidewalks will remain open.
  • Access to driveways will be maintained.
