As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, SW Memorial Place will be closed to vehicle and cycle traffic starting August 1st at 7:00 am and ending September 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm. In addition, the west sidewalk of Memorial Place will closed to pedestrian traffic.

Pacific Power is making repairs to an underground vault at the RAIL Building August 1, 2024 8:00 am- 3:00 pm. For this repair to happen they will need to shut the power off to the building. This should only affect the building with a slight interruption in power at the beginning and the end while the building generator cycles on and off. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, however this shutdown is necessary for the repairs to be completed.

As part of the ALS Controls Replacement project, the steam system will be shut down at the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building starting Sunday, July 21 at 5 P.M. and ending Monday, July 29 at 5 P.M. The shutdown will be building-wide and impact all floors of the ALS Building. The shutdown will impact steam-utilized devices such as autoclaves and laboratory hot water.
Domestic water (bathrooms, breakrooms and kitchens) will not be impacted. Temperatures in the building may be slightly cooler in the mornings.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the multi-use path on SW Washington Way between SW 30th and SW 35th St. will be closed from Thursday, July 25 – Friday, August 9. A temporary pedestrian detour will be available along the new pedestrian path located on the north side of Washington Way.
Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

The Energy Center will be shutting down the Corvallis campus steam distribution operations August 5, 2024 5:00 am – 11:00 am to correct primary distribution steam leaks and controls related repairs. This process affects hot water supply, heating, and all equipment that uses steam, campus wide.

The City of Corvallis and OSU are collaborating on a project to improve the pedestrian crossing at SW 35th St. and SW Campus Way. A pedestrian detour and preliminary work have already been established in this area. A full closure of the intersection is currently scheduled to start on Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 9.
The intersection at SW 35th St. and SW Campus Way will be fully closed in all directions during this time frame. Vehicles will be directed to use SW 30th St. as a detour around the closure. Please note: the Benton County Fair will be held July 31 – August 3, which is likely to increase traffic on SW 53rd St. Please follow the detour signs and use SW 30th St. as a detour to avoid delays on SW 53rd St. See map below.
A pedestrian detour has already been established in the area and will remain in place for the duration of the closure. Bicyclists may use the pedestrian detour route as well.
Pedestrians traveling on the east sidewalk on 35th St. (approaching from the south side) will be detoured onto a temporary pathway and directed to the south sidewalk on Campus Way and may proceed east.
Pedestrians traveling on the west sidewalk on 35th St. (approaching from the north side) will be detoured onto a temporary pathway and directed to north sidewalk on Campus Way and may proceed west.
Pedestrians traveling on the east sidewalk on 35th St. (approaching from the north side) will be detoured across the Campus Way & 35th St. parking lot (B3), to the sidewalk on the east side of the parking lot and onto the north sidewalk on Campus Way and may proceed east.
