The water both domestic and industrial will be shut down in Nash Hall November 23, 2024 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm to replace drain lines in basement area. This will affect all domestic and industrial water and drains building wide.

EH&S has asked us to remind building occupants thatwater will not be available to emergency eyewash/shower units, and occupants should discontinue all hazardous substance use (chemicals, unsealed radioisotopes, and biohazardous materials) for the duration of the shutdown

The domestic water will be shut down at Research Way Building November 6th, 2024, at 1:00 pm until November 8th, 2024, at 4:30 pm in order to facilitate emergency sewer line repairs. This will affect all domestic water building wide, including kitchens and restrooms. Portable restrooms and handwashing stations have been placed on site. Restrooms are also available across the street at the Coast Range Building.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the building heat and hot water systems will be shut down in Kelley Engineering Center starting Tuesday, October 29 through Thursday, October 31.  

The building temperature will fluctuate during this shutdown and domestic hot water service will not be available throughout the building, including kitchens and restrooms. The building will be pre-heated on Monday to a higher-than-normal temperature in anticipation of the Tues-Thurs shutdown.

Temporary heating units will be placed in the atrium area. Other heat-preserving measures will be implemented to help stabilize the building temperature.

Multiple members of Facilities Services staff and all Kelley building managers will be coordinating and monitoring throughout the duration of the shutdown.

As part of the Richardson Hall Chiller and Controls Replacement project, hot and cold laboratory water will be shut down on Tuesday, October 15 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This shutdown will only impact hot and cold water in laboratories. Restrooms and kitchenette water will not be impacted.
