As part of the 2023 Parking Lot Improvement Program,  the parking lot south of Richardson Hall and west of Dryden Hall (parking lot # 3341) will be closed for improvements for the month of August. This closure includes access drives off SW 30th Street and SW Washington Way. These improvements will, at times, cause noise and dust.

As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project,  a natural gas shutdown will occur today, Friday July 21 that will result in no natural gas service in Nash Hall and ALS, lasting until 3 pm. Northwest Natural Gas will be working in the area south of Cordley Hall east and will protrude into Campus Way.

As part of the Summer 2023 Parking Lot Renewal project, the three parking lots surrounding Reser Stadium will be closed in phases, starting on Monday, July 24 and ending on Tuesday, August 1.  See schedule and map below.

7/24 – 7/25: partial closures of the Valley Football Center Lot (SW section near Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center) and the LaSells Stewart Center West Lot (eastern edge bordering SW 26th St.)

7/26 – 7/28: Valley Football Center Lot closed (between SW 30th St. and SW Ralph Miller Lane, west of the stadium)

7/28 – 8/1: Reser Stadium Lot and the western half of the LaSells Stewart Center West Lot closed (section between the stadium and SW Western Blvd)

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work sites.

As part of the Memorial Union Roof & Gutter project, the sidewalk on the north side of SW Jefferson Way, directly in front of Memorial Union, will be closed on Friday, July 21 from 6 A.M. to 12 P.M. to allow for crane activity.The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.

Additionally, the loading zone and 30-minute parking spaces on Jefferson Way, in front of Memorial Union, will also be closed. The south-west loading dock will not be impacted. The street will remain open for vehicle traffic.

As part of the Whyte Track & Field Center Grandstands project, a section of the west sidewalk along SW 15th St. will be closed between the Sports Complex East Lot and Highway 20. The closure will continue through Friday, August 4.

15th St. will remain open to vehicle traffic, but work may occasionally impact street lanes.

Emergency Shutdown Notice – The Crop Science Building chiller will be shut down immediately for emergency repairs. This will affect cooling building wide. A restoral date is unknown at this time due to parts availability.  An additional notice will be sent out when services have been restored.
