SW 26th St. will be closed to vehicle traffic between NW Orchard Ave. and NW Monroe Ave. starting Monday, July 22 through Friday, August 9. Please see original notification for further details.

As part of the ALS Controls Replacement project, the steam system will be shut down at the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building starting Sunday, July 21 at 5 P.M. and ending Friday, July 26 at 5 P.M. The shutdown will be building-wide and impact all floors of the ALS Building. The shutdown will impact steam-utilized devices such as autoclaves and laboratory hot water.

Domestic water (bathrooms, breakrooms and kitchens) will not be impacted. Temperatures in the building may be slightly cooler in the mornings.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, flaggers will be directing traffic northbound on SW 30th St. between SW Washington Way and SW Jefferson Way on Wednesday, July 17. The southbound lane will be open for vehicles.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, construction activity will be taking place along the Washington Way multi-use path between SW 15th and SW 17th St. starting Wednesday, July 17 through Wednesday, July 24. The multi-use path will remain open. The path will be separated from the work area with construction fencing.

Flaggers will be present to direct pedestrians and vehicles at the intersection of Washington Way and May Ave./17th St.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work area.

SW Jefferson Way be closed between SW 26th St and SW Waldo Place on Friday, July 19 from 7:00 AM until 3:00 pm for a crane to be placed to replace rooftop mechanical equipment. The closure includes both the north and south sidewalks.

A crane will be working in the walkway area between the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building and Nash Hall on Tuesday, July 16. The crane will be removing decommissioned cooling towers on the roof of the ALS Building. The walkway area between the two buildings will be closed. Both buildings will remain open during the crane activity.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.
