Scheduled: Water Shutdown in Magruder Hall 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

The water will be shut off in Magruder Hall December 28, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm to remove angle stops and install plugs. This will affect water building wide. Portable toilets and handwashing stations will be provided on-site.

EH&S has asked us to remind building occupants thatwater will not be available to emergency eyewash/shower units, and occupants should discontinue all hazardous substance use (chemicals, unsealed radioisotopes, and biohazardous materials) for the duration of the shutdown

11/11/25: Scheduled- Water Shutdown in Magruder Hall

The domestic and industrial hot and cold water will be shut down in Magruder Hall November 11th, 2025, from 6:00am – 11:30pm to allow for water line repairs in the ICU and Large Animal Hospital.  This will affect water building wide in all labs, restrooms, breakrooms & custodial closets. Restrooms will be closed during this time; portable restrooms and handwashing stations will be placed on site.

8/4/25: Emergency Shutdown of Magruder Hall Chiller- South Side

Emergency Shutdown Notice – The Magruder Hall chiller on the south side (Large Animal Hospital) will be shut down immediately for emergency repairs. This will affect cooling building wide. A restoral date is unknown at this time due to parts availability.  An additional notice will be sent out when services have been restored.

7/13/25: Water Shutdown in Magruder Hall 6:00 am – 5:00 pm.

The water will be shut off in Magruder Hall July 13, 2025 from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm for the repair of a main line water leak. This will affect water building wide.

7/2025: Campus Wide Generator Testing

Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators.  Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing.  Each generator will be refueled after testing.

6/24/24: Magruder Hall Air Handler #3 Shutdown

Air handler #3 (AHU3) will be shut down in Magruder Hall on June 24th, 2024 between 7:00 am – 10:00 am to perform preventative maintenance on the unit. This should only affect the library and the southeast offices. Building occupants may notice warmer than normal air temperatures and reduced airflow during this time.
