7/22 – 8/9: SW 26th St. Closed Between NW Orchard Ave. & NW Monroe Ave.
As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, SW 26th St. will be closed to vehicle traffic between NW Orchard Ave. and NW Monroe Ave. starting Monday, July 22 through Friday, August 9. The east sidewalk on 26th St. will be closed. The west sidewalk will remain open. The Johnson Hall loading dock will also remain open.

6/24 – 6/28: Campus Way Closed at Memorial Place
As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, the intersection of SW Campus Way and SW Memorial Place will be closed starting on Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28. The intersection will be closed to vehicle traffic in all directions during this time frame.
The north crosswalk at Campus Way and Memorial Place will be closed. The south crosswalk will remain open for pedestrians.
Memorial Place between Monroe Ave and Campus Way is already closed to vehicle traffic under a previous notification.

6/17 – 8/29: Walkway Closed North of Kelley Engineering Center
As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, a section of the walkway and courtyard area north of Kelly Engineering Center will be closed starting Monday, June 17 through Thursday, August 29. The impacted area is located between Kelley Engineering Center, Plageman Student Health Center and Johnson Hall.
The north entrance of Kelley Engineering Center will remain open.
Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

6/17-7/26: Memorial Place Closed Between Campus Way & Monroe Ave.
As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang & Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, SW Memorial Place will be closed between SW Campus Way and SW Monroe Ave. starting Monday, June 17 through Friday, July 26. The west sidewalk on Memorial Place will also be closed. The east sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.
Other potential impacts include noise near the worksite.

5/13 – 5/14: Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex Tower Crane Construction
This is an update on the Jen-Hsun Huang & Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex.
Truck traffic and activity will increase on SW 26th St. from SW Western Blvd. to NW Monroe Ave. on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14. Construction will begin on a tower crane that will be built within the fenced construction site and operate throughout the duration of the project.
What to know about the tower crane
The tower crane will be actively working on a daily basis in a highly visible location. While the crane boom radius does extend over Monroe Ave., the CEOAS Admin Building and Johnson Hall, crane loads will NOT be lifted over these areas for safety reasons.
When the crane is unmanned and inactive, building occupants and those in the surrounding area may notice the crane boom swinging back and forth in a freely moving, “weathervane” state. While this may appear concerning, it is actually an important safety requirement that allows the crane to remain stable in windy conditions.

4/29: Jen-Hsun Huang & Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex construction update
This is an update on the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project.
The project site is located between Johnson Hall and NW Monroe Avenue and is bordered by SW 26th St. on the west and SW Memorial Place on the east.
Construction activity in the area will significantly increase starting Monday, April 29. Occupants of neighboring buildings and those traveling through the area should expect an increase in truck traffic and other activity, including an increase in construction-related noise.

4/23 – Kelley Engineering Center Closed for Planned Power Outage
As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang & Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, Kelley Engineering Center will be closed to allow for a planned power outage on Tuesday, April 23 from 4:00 – 8:00 A.M. The outage is necessary to establish temporary electrical service for construction at the Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex site.
What do you need to do to prepare for this outage?
Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Tuesday, April 23. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

Permanent Closure of Park Terrace Place Parking Lots (A2) Starting 3/18
As part of the Jen-Hsun & Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, the Park Terrace St. East and Park Terrace St. West (A2) parking lots will be permanently closed, starting Monday, March 18. The impacted parking lots are located north of Johnson Hall and Plageman Student Health Center.
SW Park Terrace Place will also be permanently closed north of Plageman Student Health Center. Construction fencing will be placed around the area in preparation for further construction activity.
Alternate ADA parking – contact Equal Opportunity & Access if you need further assistance
- Weinger Hall East Lot – five ADA spaces
- Memorial Place – Central Campus (west of People’s Park) – two ADA spaces
- Bates Hall North Lot – four ADA spaces
- N. 27th St., Arnold Way Lot – four ADA spaces
Pedestrian impacts
- A section of the south sidewalk on Monroe Ave. between 26th St. and Memorial Place will be closed for the duration of the project.
- Pedestrians may cross Monroe Ave. at 26th St. or Memorial Place and use the north sidewalk as a detour.
- A section of the east sidewalk on 26th St. between Johnson Hall and the CEOAS Administration Building will be closed.
- Pedestrians may use the west sidewalk and the crosswalk at the CEOAS Administration building as a detour.
- The walkway between Johnson Hall and Plageman Student Health Center be closed.
- The walkway south of the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center will be closed.
- The walkway north of Johnson Hall will be closed.
