A crane will be working in the walkway area between the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building and Nash Hall on Monday, July 15. The crane will be removing decommissioned cooling towers on the roof of the ALS Building. The walkway area between the two buildings will be closed. Both buildings will remain open during the crane activity.
Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, a section of the walkway between Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Hall will be closed on Friday, June 21 to allow for tree removal work. The south entrance to Plageman Hall will be closed.

Construction activity related to the Weatherford A-wing Remodel project will occasionally impact areas outside the building in the coming weeks. Expected impacts include intermittent closure of the walkway on west side of Weatherford Hall and partial closure of the bike parking area on the south side SW Intramural Lane, across the street from Weatherford. These closures are needed for demo waste removal and materials staging.

As part of the Bloss Hall Renovation project, a section of the Bloss Hall South parking lot will be closed starting Tuesday, June 18 through Friday, August 30. The impacted parking spaces are located on the north side of the parking lot. The sidewalk and walkway areas on the west and north sides of Bloss Hall will also be closed.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the walkway between Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Hall, just west of SW Memorial Place, will be closed on Wednesday, June 12. Bike racks and lockers in the area will remain open. All entrances to Kelley and Plageman will remain open.

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation project, the Fairbanks Hall West parking lot will be closed starting Thursday, March 21 through Friday, March 29 for gutter work on the building. All ADA parking spaces in the parking lot will be closed.
The sidewalks and walkways bordering Fairbanks Hall on all sides of the building will be closed in phases to allow for equipment to be maneuvered around the area. These closures will be intermittent. This includes the walkways on the north and west sides of Fairbanks Hall, the west sidewalk on 26th St. and the north sidewalk on Jefferson Way.
Staff will be present in the area to help pedestrians navigate around the sidewalk closures. Pedestrians may use the east sidewalk on 26th St., the south sidewalk on Jefferson Way or the walkway west of the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center as alternate routes.
Access to the parking lot will be available for trash and recycling pickup.

As part of the Jen-Hsun & Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, the Park Terrace St. East and Park Terrace St. West (A2) parking lots will be permanently closed, starting Monday, March 18. The impacted parking lots are located north of Johnson Hall and Plageman Student Health Center.
SW Park Terrace Place will also be permanently closed north of Plageman Student Health Center. Construction fencing will be placed around the area in preparation for further construction activity.

Pedestrian impacts
A section of the south sidewalk on Monroe Ave. between 26th St. and Memorial Place will be closed for the duration of the project.
Pedestrians may cross Monroe Ave. at 26th St. or Memorial Place and use the north sidewalk as a detour.
A section of the east sidewalk on 26th St. between Johnson Hall and the CEOAS Administration Building will be closed.
Pedestrians may use the west sidewalk and the crosswalk at the CEOAS Administration building as a detour.
The walkway between Johnson Hall and Plageman Student Health Center be closed.
The walkway south of the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center will be closed.

As part of the Kerr Administration South Parking Lot Improvement project, the Kerr South parking lot closure has been extended through January 8 to complete construction and landscaping. This includes the closure of the west sidewalk. ADA access is available on the east side of the building.

As part of the LaSells Stewart Center Mechanical and Roof Renewal project, a section of the northbound lane on SW 26th St. will be closed on Thursday, November 30th from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. to allow for crane activity. The lane closure will be located between the intersection with SW Western Blvd. and The LaSells Stewart Center.
In addition, the traffic signals at the intersection of 26th St. and Western Blvd. will be shut down during this closure. Flaggers will be present at the intersection to direct traffic through the area.
The east sidewalk on 26th St. will be closed between Western Blvd. and the CH2M Alumni Center. The west sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians. The walkway on the north side of The LaSells Stewart Center will also be closed. Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.
