The fire lane located behind the PRAx building, between PRAx and the Heating Plant, will be closed on Friday, July 11 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to crane activity. The sidewalks bordering the fire lane will also be closed.

The domestic hot water will be shut down in Magruder Hall June 16th, 2025, from 6:00am – 4:30pm to allow for plumbing system leak repairs. This will affect the building domestic hot water in labs, restrooms, breakrooms & custodial closets.

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025. Impacts for the week of April 21st-25th
Monday thru Wednesday – A road closure and detour on Western Blvd between Ivy Pl and Highway 34 will be in place to allow for the continuation of the road dig-outs and repairs.
Westbound traffic on Western will need to use West Hills Rd to 53rd St.
Eastbound traffic will need to use 35th Street from the highway to get back to Western to avoid this specific closure.
Thursday thru Friday – Potholing and exploratory work will require flagging at the intersection of 35th/Western.
Normal traffic flow will be re-established at the end of each work day throughout the project.
West Hills Rd. will be open to traffic in both directions.
Bicycle lanes will be closed at times and bikes will be moved onto the roadway.
The sidewalk at the NE corner of 35th/Western will be closed to accommodate waterline work there. Pedestrians travelling east and west on Western Blvd. between 30th and 35th Street will need to use the pedestrian detour to the southern sidewalk along Western Blvd.
Access to local driveways will be maintained and signage will be posted to keep the Western Building driveways clear while the intersection signal is shut down.
Please note: a full closure of the SW 35th St./Western Blvd. intersection is scheduled to start on April 28th. Details regarding this closure will be available in the next update.
As part of the Azalea House remodel project, an ADA and a reserved parking space in the Madison Ave Co-op parking lot near Oxford House and Champinefu Lodge will be blocked off due to electrical work at the transformer. The sidewalk in front of the spaces will also be impacted.

Due to construction and roofing work happening at Dixon Recreation Center, the ADA accessible path that runs along the north and east sides of Dixon will be closed starting on Monday, March 24. This will be a long-term closure which is scheduled to end on Friday, October 10.
Bike parking on the east side of Dixon will be closed for the duration of this project. All bikes must be removed from the bike racks before Monday, March 24. Any remaining bikes will be removed by the Department of Public Safety.
The east entrance to Dixon Rec Center will be closed.

The domestic water will be shut down at Oak Creek Building December 4th, 2024, at 4:00 am until 8 am, in order to facilitate an emergency backflow repair. This will affect all domestic water building wide, including kitchens and restrooms.

The City of Corvallis and OSU are collaborating on a project to improve the pedestrian crossing at SW 35th St. and SW Campus Way. A pedestrian detour and preliminary work has already been established in this area. A full closure of the intersection is currently scheduled to start on Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 9. Please note that the closure schedule has been updated since the initial notification.
An updated Campus Notification will be sent the week before this closure begins.
