As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant Project, SW Memorial Place will be closed between SW Campus Way and Plageman Student Health Center to allow for crane activity and equipment delivery. The closure will be in effect starting Monday, August 4 from 5 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

The east entrance to Kelley Engineering Center may be intermittently unavailable. Service parking spaces in this section of Memorial Place will be closed. The east sidewalk on Memorial Place will remain open for pedestrians.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement Project, the walkway around the sand volleyball courts at Dixon Recreation Center will be closed on Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 30. Pedestrians may use the sidewalks along SW 26th St. and Washington Way as a detour around the closure area.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work area.

Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators.  Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing.  Each generator will be refueled after testing.

The water will be shut down in Withycombe Hall Room 183 July 28, 2025 from 6:00 am to 8:00 am to tie into cold water line for filtration system. This will affect only the lab water and fume hood cold water in Room 183.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, Kelley Engineering Center will be closed for a planned power outage. The building closure and power outage will begin at 5:00 A.M. on Friday, August 1 and end at 5:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 2.

All systems connected to emergency generators will continue to operate during this power outage. The building will be closed to all but the construction team, Facilities Services, and personnel monitoring the server room. Signs will be posted and doors will be locked.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? 

Please ensure that all electronic devices not connected to emergency power are powered down and that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Friday, August 1. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. 

Employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules. For more information regarding work scheduling, please refer to the instructions regarding Interruptions of University Operations.

As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, SW 26th St. will be closed between SW Campus Way and NW Monroe Ave. on Wednesday, July 23 from 5:30 A.M until 6:30 A.M.

After the road reopens, flaggers will be present to direct traffic throughout the day.
