8/12 – 9/13: Washington Way Multi-Use Path Closed between 30th – 35th St.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the multi-use path on SW Washington Way between SW 30th and SW 35th St. will be closed from Monday, August 12 – Friday, September 13. A temporary pedestrian detour will be available along the new pedestrian path located on the north side of Washington Way.

Washington Way between SW 30th and SW 35th St. will remain closed to vehicle traffic.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

8/5 – 8/9: Washington Way Multi-Use Path Closed, 15th – 17th St.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the multi-use path on the south side of SW Washington Way, between SW 15th and SW 17th St., will be closed starting Monday, August 5 through Friday, August 9.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

7/31 – Washington Way Reopening Between 26th – 30th St.

This is an update on the Washington Way Improvement Project.

SW Washington Way will be reopening between SW 26th – SW 30th St. on Wednesday, July 31. This section of Washington Way will be open for all vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

The newly constructed sidewalk and cycle track on the north side of Washington Way is currently open from Benton Place to 35th St. while the multi-use path is closed between 30th – 35th St. After the multi-use path reopens on August 9, the sidewalk and cycle track will be closed between 30th – 35th St. so that construction in the area can be completed.

Washington Way remains closed to vehicle traffic between 30th – 35th St.  

Updates to this notification will be issued as work continues to progress on Washington Way.

7/25 – 8/9: Washington Way Multi-Use Path Closed from 30th – 35th St.

UPDATE: Washington Way Street & Sidewalk Closed, Benton Pl. to 17th St. through 8/9

SW Washington Way will remain closed between SW Benton Place and SW 17th St. through Friday, August 9. The sidewalk on the north side of Washington Way will also be closed in this area.

7/17 – Flagging Operations Northbound Lane of SW 30th St.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, flaggers will be directing traffic northbound on SW 30th St. between SW Washington Way and SW Jefferson Way on Wednesday, July 17. The southbound lane will be open for vehicles.

7/17 – 7/24: Washington Way/17th St./Multi-Use Path Construction Activity

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, construction activity will be taking place along the Washington Way multi-use path between SW 15th and SW 17th St. starting Wednesday, July 17 through Wednesday, July 24. The multi-use path will remain open. The path will be separated from the work area with construction fencing.

Flaggers will be present to direct pedestrians and vehicles at the intersection of Washington Way and May Ave./17th St.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work area.
