For work related to Pacific Power system upgrades, Pacific Power will perform trenching work along 35th Street through Friday, April 16, 2021. Trenching work will occur in the following areas: near the Energy Center in the Energy Center East Lot (lot #3340), the Energy Center South Lot (lot #3339) and the 35th Street access to the Energy Center. The access along SW Jefferson Way will remain open. This work supports Pacific Power’s power infrastructure and prepares for future upgrades to SW Washington Way.

As part of the Campus Operations building project, the Western Building parking lot will be fully closed for paving. Paving work is scheduled to start on Thursday, April 15 through Sunday, April 18, 2021. If you are planning to come to the Western Building on these days, you will need to park in another parking lot. If you have fleet vehicles in the Western Building lot, they will need to be moved by end of day on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

As part of the Nash Hall Elevator project, a crane pick of elevator equipment is scheduled at Nash Hall, and in the building’s loading dock area and around the access road south of building. The Sackett North Lot (lot #3303) areas around Nash Hall will be impacted. Work is scheduled for Thursday, April 8, 2021.

As part of the Campus Operations building project, partial closures are scheduled for the Western Building lot for grading and paving work. Partial lot closures are scheduled to start on Monday, April 5 through Friday, April 23, 2021. Half of the parking lot will remain open at all times. Geotechnical drilling and boring work is scheduled to occur at five locations in the West Greenhouse area. Work will take place near a section of Campus Way, the West Greenhouse parking lot (lot #3320), and on the west and east sides of the Seed Lab from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

As part of the North District Utility Plant (NDUP) project, work to provide electrical service to the NDUP, located along NW Orchard Avenue, is scheduled to start on Monday, March 29, 2021 through Friday, April 16, 2021. Work could create possible extended construction activity and noise, and/or noise during normal business hours. A roadway closure for SW 26th Street between Campus Way and Monroe Avenue and a partial parking lot closure for the Bates Hall lot (lot #3313) are also scheduled as part of the work.

North District Utility Plant work site map

The Orchard Ave. House, located at 3036 NW Orchard Avenue, is scheduled for demolition. Demolition work is scheduled to start on Monday, March 29 through Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Work will occur on site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily. Right of Way permits have been obtained from the City of Corvallis and the City of Corvallis has been notified about the demolition. The Wiegand Hall parking lot (lot #3330) as well as the alleyway to NW Orchard Avenue will be impacted while demolition work occurs.

As part of the Motor Pool Canopy Construction Project, a new canopy is being built at the fuel island north of the Motor Pool Building. Fencing will go up around the area, and work will start on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 and continue through Monday, March 29, 2021. Staging will occur in the parking lot west of the Motor Pool Building.

The partial lot closures are scheduled to start on Monday, Feb. 8 through Friday, Feb. 12, 2021. The west half of the parking lot will be closed for storm line work from Monday, Feb. 8 through Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021. The east half of the parking lot will be closed for storm line work from Thursday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 12, 2021.

Road closures are scheduled around West Campus residence halls to support work related to the Buxton, Hawley and West roof replacement projects. Work is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020. Work will start at 8 a.m. at SW Intramural Lane south of West Hall. Once complete, work will transition to the west end of Hawley Hall and obstruct SW Sackett Place and the east sidewalk. Then, work will shift to the north of Hawley Hall and Buxton Hall, and one lane of SW Jefferson Way will be closed along with the south sidewalk. Next, work will shift to SW Weatherford Place and will close the road as well as the west sidewalk. Each portion of work is anticipated to take approximately two hours to stage and pick the supplies to the roofs of the buildings. Intramural parking lot #3294 will also be impacted while work takes place.
