3/27 – 4/2: Linus Pauling Crane Activity & Parking Impacts

As part of mechanical systems work happening at Linus Pauling Science Center, a section of the parking lot south of LPSC will be closed due to crane activity. A staging area will be established on the north side of the parking lot starting on Thursday, March 27 and remain in place through Wednesday, April 2.

The crane work will take place on Tuesday, April 1. A section of the drive lane on the north side of the parking lot will be closed while the crane is operating.

Building access will not be impacted by this project.

2/20: Kelley Engineering Center/Memorial Pl. Crane Activity

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the Kelley Engineering Center east entrance will be intermittently closed due to crane activity occurring on SW Memorial Place. This closure will take place on Thursday, February 20. The bike room door on the east side of KEC will also be closed. The crane will be working within the current fenced construction area on Memorial Place.

Flaggers will be present to redirect pedestrians traveling on the Memorial Place west sidewalk during the crane activity. The east sidewalk will remain open.

2/15 – SW 26th St. Closed from Orchard Ave. to Monroe Ave.

As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, SW 26th St. will be closed between NW Orchard Ave. and NW Monroe Ave. on Saturday, February 15 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The closure is necessary to allow for crane activity in the area.

The east sidewalk will be closed in this section. The west sidewalk and bike lane will be open, except during truck unloading.

1/29: Bloss Hall Crane Activity & Sidewalk Closure

As part of the Bloss Hall Renovation project, a crane will be working within a fenced construction area on SW Stadium Ave. on Wednesday, January 29. The work zone and road closure will be located on the west side of Bloss Hall. A section of parking spaces between Bloss Hall and CH2M Hill Alumni Center (Bloss Hall West Lot) will be closed.

Vehicles may detour through the Bloss Hall West Lot or access Stadium Ave. from SW 26th St.

The sidewalk between Bloss Hall and Arnold Dining Center will be closed.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work area.

1/11 – 1/18: Crane Activity, SW 26th St. Between Orchard Ave. & Monroe Ave.

As part of Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, a crane will be working within the established construction site along SW 26th St. between NW Orchard Ave. and NW Monroe Ave. This work will take place starting Saturday, January 11 through Saturday, January 18.

The east sidewalk and bike lane on SW 26th St. will be closed. Flaggers will be present to direct vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians through the work zone.

1/10 & 1/14: Richardson Hall Crane Activity

As part of the Richardson Hall Solar Project, a crane will be working on the east side of Richardson Hall on Friday, January 10 and Tuesday, January 14 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on both days. This activity will close the drive lane, loading dock and parking area on the east side of Richardson Hall. No pedestrian access to this area or the Richardson Hall east entrance will be allowed.

11/4 – 11/12: Campus Way Crane Activity, Road Closure Between ALS Building & Nash Hall

A crane will be working in the walkway area between the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building and Nash Hall starting Monday, November 4 through Tuesday, November 12. The crane will be lifting equipment onto the roof of the ALS Building. A section of SW Campus Way between Nash Hall and the ALS Building will be closed. The walkway area between the two buildings will be closed.

The south sidewalk in this section of Campus Way will be closed. The north sidewalk will remain open. The loading zone parking spaces outside of Nash Hall will be closed.

Both buildings will remain open during the crane activity. The west and south entrances to Nash Hall will be open. Signage on the east side of the ALS building will direct pedestrians through ALS to the east side entrance of Nash Hall.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

10/24 – 10/25: Crane Activity, Road Closure Between ALS Building & Nash Hall

The crane will be lifting equipment onto the roof of the ALS Building. A section of SW Campus Way between Nash Hall and the ALS Building will be closed. The south sidewalk in this section of Campus Way will be closed. The north sidewalk will remain open. The loading zone parking spaces outside of Nash Hall will be closed.

10/22 – Richardson Hall Crane Activity

As part of the Richardson Hall Solar project, a crane will be working on the east side of Richardson Hall on Tuesday, October 22. The crane will be lifting materials and equipment on to the roof. The driveway and loading area will be closed on the east side of Richardson Hall. The east side entrance to the building will also be closed.

Several parking spaces on the east side of the building will be closed.
