RO/DI water will be shut down to Richardson Hall starting August 22th through August 26th to allow installation of a new RO/DI water system. During this week the old system will be removed and replaced and new electrical and plumbing connections will be made.

6/2022: Campus Wide Generator Testing
Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators. Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing. Each generator will be refueled after testing.

5/7/22: Fume Hood Exhaust Fan Shutdown Richardson Hall 8:00 am- 9:00 am
The fume hood exhaust in Richardson Hall will be shut down in labs on levels 1, 2 and 3 for work on exhaust ductwork May 7, 2022 8:00 am – 9:00 am. All fume hood exhaust will be shutdown, sashes should be kept closed.

9/8/21-TBD: Emergency Shutdown of Chiller in Richardson Hall
Emergency Shutdown Notice – The Richardson Hall chiller will be shut down immediately for emergency repairs. This will affect cooling building wide. A restoral date is unknown at this time due to parts availability. An additional notice will be sent out when more information becomes available.

8/4/21: Emergency Shutdown: Richardson Hall Chiller Shutdown
Due to a failed chiller component, Richardson Hall will be without cooling for the next several hours while repairs are being completed. This may cause higher than normal temperature levels building-wide. An additional notice will be sent out when repairs are complete and cooling is restored. This will not affect temperatures in the server rooms or Atrium.

2/10-2/11/2021: Partial air handler shutdown for Richardson Hall
A portion of AHU1 in Richardson Hall will be shut down February 10th– 11th from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, to repair a heating water pump. This will reduce airflow creating some pressure imbalance throughout the building. Fume hoods will be operational.

1/20/20: Planned power shutdown for Richardson Hall, 8 to 10 a.m.
As part of the George W. Peavy Forest Science Center project, a planned power shutdown for Richardson Hall is necessary. The shutdown is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 from 8 to 10 a.m. A backup generator will be running.
