As part of the Building Controls and Mechanical Renewal project, power will be shut down to Richardson Hall building-wide so that building controls can be replaced starting Friday, April 26 at 5:00pm, ending Saturday, April 27 at 8:00 am. All equipment on emergency power will be energized through the shutdown and lab spaces will maintain minimal ventilation.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Friday, April 26 at 5:00pm. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.  Also, please ensure that all fume hoods are closed before leaving labs.

As part of the ALS Building Controls and Equipment Replacement project, the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building will be closed on Wednesday, February 14 from 5 A.M. to 7 A.M.  The air handlers and exhaust system will be shut down building-wide during the closure. No entry will be permitted. Reasonable indoor temperatures will be maintained during the closure.

As part of building controls and equipment replacement projects at the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building, the building will be closed on Saturday, January 6 from 5 A.M. to 7 A.M. The air handling and exhaust system will be shut down building-wide. The building will be fully closed and entry will not be permitted.

Reasonable indoor temperatures will be maintained during the shutdown and there will not be impacts to other equipment or building systems.

As part of work for the Kelley District Utility Plant project and the Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex, Johnson Hall will be CLOSED on January 3, 2024 for construction-related activities. Water service to the building will shut off from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and electrical service to the building will be shut off from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM. There will be no access to the building on January 3 to ensure safety.

Effective Date(s): Saturday, March 25 through Monday, March 27

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation project, there will be a planned power outage from Saturday, March 25 through Monday, March 27. The new, permanent generator for the building will be installed during this time. Fairbanks Hall will be closed to the public during the outage.

Building power will be restored no later than end of day on Monday, March 27. 

Two Art Department reserved parking spaces will be unavailable during this power outage. Signs will be posted. Cars may be towed.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Saturday, March 25. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. The building will not have network connectivity during this power outage, i.e. no wireless, wired internet or VoIP phone connectivity. Anything that relies on the network will not be functional.
