The manholes along May Avenue will be repaired and the asphalt will be replaced between Arnold Dining Center and the Beth Ray Center for Academic Support. May Avenue will be completely closed to all traffic during this work on Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

Work is scheduled to take place along SW 30th Street and Washington Way for repairs associated with a campus steam vault. Southbound SW 30th Street will be closed from 6 a.m. on Monday, March 23 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, and again from 6 a.m. on Monday, March 30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31.

As part of the LaSells Stewart Center fire line back flow replacement work, a planned sidewalk closure in front of the LaSells Stewart Center along SW 26th Street is scheduled to occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2020. Traffic will be shifted around the work area.

As part of the Research Way Lab Building renovation project, demolition and removal of roof top air handler units is necessary. These units will be removed from the rooftop with a crane. The first and second floors on the northwest side of the building, above the area where air handler units will be removed, are affected. These areas will need to be vacated.

Research Way Lab Building air handler unit work

As part of the Washington Way Reconstruction project, exploratory utility work (potholing) with flagging will take place, as needed, along Washington Way from 35th Street to 15th Street. The road will remain open, but some delays should be expected. Work is planned to take place through Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020.

Work will take place along the west side of Benton Place between Jefferson Way and Langton Place to improve ADA accessibility in the area. This work will be non-invasive but will require that parking be removed on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020.

Parking closure on Benton Place

As part of the Merryfield Hall renovation project, a steam shutdown will occur so that failing steam piping can be replaced. Temporary heating will be provided for the spaces that are occupied in the south end and east wing of the building.

As part of the Research Way Lab Building renovation project, a closure of restrooms, room #s 1155-1 and 1156-1, will occur for sanitary sewer tie-in work. These restrooms will not be useable for approximately one hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Restroom, room #1005, however, will remain available for use during this time.
