As part of the Gilkey Hall Renovation project, there will be a planned power outage affecting multiple buildings on the NE side of campus on Tuesday, December 17 from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. This outage will impact all floors in each building. Please see below for a complete list of impacted buildings.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? 
Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Tuesday, December 17. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. 

Employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules. For more information regarding work scheduling, please refer to the instructions regarding Interruptions of University Operations

Multiple parking lots will be closed in phases starting on Monday, December 16 for underground utility scanning.

ALL vehicles must be removed from these lots prior to 7 a.m. each day, December 16 – December 19. Student vehicles must be removed from these lots prior to leaving campus for winter break.

Starting on Wednesday, December 4, NW Natural will be working to relocate a gas line on SW 35th St. in preparation for a water line replacement project managed by the city of Corvallis, which will begin later this winter. Traffic on SW 35th St. north of Western Blvd will be reduced to a single lane in some sections and flaggers will be present to direct vehicles through the work zones. Drivers should be prepared for delays.

This notice may be updated as the work progresses and information becomes available.

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, the eastbound lane on SW Campus Way will  be closed between SW 30th St. and Nash Hall on Thursday, December 5, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Both the north and south sidewalks in this section of Campus Way will be closed.

Flaggers will be present to direct vehicles and pedestrians through the work zone.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work area.

A section of the southbound lane on SW 26th St. will be closed between SW Washington Way and SW Ralph Miller Lane starting Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 6.

Vehicles traveling south on 26th St. may detour west on Washington Way to 30th St. or east to 15th St and continue south.

As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang & Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, a vacuum truck will be excavating an area within the construction site on the east side of SW 26th St. between NW Orchard Ave. and NW Monroe Ave.

This work will increase construction noise in the surrounding area through Tuesday, November 26.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, SW Campus Way between SW 26th St. and SW Memorial Place will be closed on Tuesday, November 26 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The closure is necessary to allow for crane activity related to the project. After completing work on the south side of Kelley Engineering Center, the crane will move to SW Memorial Place and continue working within the existing construction fencing.

The north sidewalk in this section of Campus Way will be closed. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.

The Kelley Engineering Center south entrance will be closed.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work zone.

Transportation Services will be closing multiple parking lots across campus for lot sweeping and leaf pick-up on Tuesday, November 26 and Wednesday, November 27.

These closures will begin at 4 p.m. both days.

How to prepare for these closures
Please remove all vehicles from the impacted lots by 4 p.m. on 11/26 and 11/27 (see list of parking lots below). Transportation Services will not be towing vehicles, but any vehicles remaining in these lots may get dirty due to equipment working nearby. OSU is not responsible for damage to any personal vehicles.

Alternate parking lots
A vehicle with any valid parking permit may be parked in any open B or C zone commuter lots for the entire day on 11/26 and 11/27.
