As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project,  interior demolition in Cordley Hall east will continue through December 2022. Current elevated noise levels are expected to continue through that time.  Steps have been taken to minimize noise, such as leaving windows in place until demolition on that floor is complete. 

The Cordley Hall Renewal project is a priority of the university and contributes to SP 4.0 actions of sustainability by reducing our carbon footprint by renovating over building new, and by improving our physical and research infrastructure.

As part of the ALS Controls Upgrade project, there will be a steam shutdown to the HVAC system to Agriculture and Life Sciences building. Steam shutdown  for ALS is scheduled to take place starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28 and will end at 7:00 a.m. on Monday October 31, 2022.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement Project, there will be a one lane closure with flagging operations on SW Washington Way between SW 35th and SW 30th Streets. Work is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, and has been extended until Wednesday, November 23, 2022 (view map).

Notice: One lane closure with flagging operations on SW Washington Way, 10/24 through 11/10/2022

As part of the Arts and Education Complex project, the sidewalk on the west side of SW 15th Street between SW Jefferson Way and SW Washington Ways will be closed to accommodate steel erection near the sidewalk. Work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022.

As part of work being done at Valley Football Center, Ralph Miller Lane will be closed between Protho Field and Valley Football Center to allow a crane to move equipment to VFC. Work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct 3. The sidewalk on the Protho field side of the street will remain open to pedestrians.

As part of the Dixon Recreation Center pool mechanical replacement project, loud concrete demolition work will occur in the pool area from August 8 through August 15, 2022. The pool will be open normal hours and hearing protection will be available at the doors into the pool area.

As part of the Community Hall Slope Project, a temporary power outage will occur from 6 – 8 am on Tuesday, August 9 in the following buildings: Pharmacy, Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center and Hattie Redmond Women and Gender Center. Pharmacy will only experience a short power interruption before backup power takes over.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to 6 am on August 9.  If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.
