As part of the Kerr South Parking Lot project, there will be intermittent delays on SW 15th St. due to construction activities on Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10. A single lane will be closed at a time, with traffic being allowed to pass through the opposite lane. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.

The impacted area will be between SW Washington Ave. and SW Adams Ave. near the Kerr Administration Building and Callahan Hall. Drivers should expect delays between 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. on both days.

The west sidewalk will be closed along with the crosswalk at SW Adams Ave. The east sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians. Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, a section of SW May Ave. will be closed from Monday, November 6 through Wednesday, November 8. The impacted section is located between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets, directly behind the Pride Center. Several parking spaces along May Ave. will also be closed.

Other possible impacts include dust and mud near the work site.

As part of the Nash Hall Cooling Tower Replacement project, the Sackett Hall North parking lot (#3303) will be partially closed on Monday, November 6 to allow for crane activity. The closure will impact parking spaces on the east side of the lot, closest to Nash Hall. The south-west basement and south first floor entrances to Nash Hall will also be closed. The north-east entrance and the loading dock will remain open.

In addition, the walkway that runs along the west side of Nash Hall will also be closed. Pedestrians may detour around the area via walkways on the south, east and north sides of the building.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, SW Campus Way will be closed between SW 26th Street and SW Memorial Place starting Monday, November 6 through Wednesday, November 15 to allow for crane activity. The south entrance at Kelley Engineering Center will also be closed.

The north sidewalk in this section of Campus Way will be closed. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.

The bike lanes in this section of Campus Way will also be closed. Bicyclists may detour around the closure using the walkway on the south side of Milam Hall.

This shutdown will only impact the building’s freezers and cold rooms. A portable freezer trailer will be provided for temporary storage of frozen materials.

As part of the ALS Controls & Mechanical Replacement project, the heating system in the Agricultural & Life Sciences Building with be shutdown for repairs on Monday, October 23 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. The central air handlers will run early in the morning to preheat the building before the heating system is shutdown. Heat will not be available on a room by room basis during the shutdown.
