Undergraduates that participate in CUE 2017 may also be eligible to receive a “Research Fellow” or “Arts Fellow” notation on their transcript, and wear a blue honor cord during commencement!

All OSU undergrads are eligible to present solo or group projects that are in progress or have already been completed.

All URISC and 2016 URSA Engage awardees are expected to present their results at CUE.

Students interested in participating in CUE have to register. The deadline for registering is Monday May 8 at 5:00 PM.

The Fall 2017 ACS Graduate Student Symposium Planning Committee (GSSPC) is requesting applications to compete for the Fall 2018 ACS GSSPC. ​The GSSPC was developed by the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Chemical Education (CHED) for graduate students to contribute to the ACS National Meeting by providing an exceptional atmosphere of learning and networking through a student organized symposium. A GSSPC comprised of 6-8 students is selected for each national ACS meeting and tasked with generating a unique symposium theme and organizing the entire event, including fundraising, speaker recruitment, and logistical arrangements.
In order to apply, please email your application packet to fall17gsspc@vt.edu by Thursday, June 1st. Required application items include:
1. A one-page mission statement
2. Two proposed symposia themes, each with a list and brief bio of 8-12 proposed speakers
3. A short biography for each member of your committee.

Mark your calendars for OSU Career Development Center Campus-wide Training for Staff coming up on May 9th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. in MU 206. Jeanna Ramos from the U.S. Forest Service will present a workshop on the process of applying for a job or internship with the federal government. This workshop will cover the differences in the application process between industry and federal jobs; how to help your students apply for federal jobs and internships; and what makes applications stand out.
