The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research has announced the Endeavor Award opportunity which provides $3,000,000 over a three-year period to support collaborative research projects that bring together investigators with diverse areas of expertise to tackle challenges in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. Teams may comprise investigators from a single institution or multiple institutions.  These grants are awarded to teams of three or more investigators to generate and integrate data from diverse lines of research and transform those insights into advances for cancer patients that could not be achieved by individual efforts. Basic, translational, and clinical projects are eligible.

The fall 2025 cohort of Career Champions will meet on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Zoom during Weeks 3-8 of fall term (October 16-November 20). Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on June 6th. All participants will: 

  • Create a NACE competency map to understand how a current course allows students to practice transferrable skills 
  • Write a NACE syllabi statement connecting the dots for students between course activities and the aforementioned transferrable skills
  • Create or redesign a lecture, activity, or assignment to add in career development 
  • Engage in conversations on the NACE competencies, mentoring, hidden curriculum and more
