TT Organic Chemist – U of Wyoming
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track position in organic chemistry. Individuals from all areas of organic chemistry are encouraged to apply including polymer chemistry, energy science and chemical biology. The position will be filled at the Assistant Professor level and candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent with postdoctoral experience highly desirable. Expectations for the successful candidate will include: excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, nationally recognized and externally funded research program and participation in departmental and university-wide governance.
Complete applications must include a detailed CV, descriptions of research plans and teaching interests, teaching philosophy, anticipated start-up costs and three letters of recommendation. Smith College Post-doc position
The department of chemistry at Smith College is initiating a search for a two- to three-year combined teaching and research postdoctoral fellow position in organic chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Kevin Shea to begin July 2017. Teaching responsibilities will include two courses per year in intermediate and advanced organic chemistry. All members of the Chemistry Department participate in teaching and we seek a colleague committed to learning, developing, and maintaining a dynamic curriculum that is responsive to the needs of Smith’s diverse and talented student body. Applicants must have a Ph. D. in chemistry and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
We believe this is an outstanding opportunity for any Ph.D. graduate who would like to get real academic experience at a top liberal-arts institution. Smith College is a member of the Five College Consortium with Amherst, Hampshire, and Mount Holyoke Colleges, and the University of Massachusetts.

Call for proposals: DeLoach Work Scholarships for undergraduates
The OSU Honors College is now accepting applications to the DeLoach Work Scholarship program for winter and spring terms, 2017. Tenured and tenure-track Oregon State faculty members, as well as senior instructors, can submit proposals for funding in support of Honors College undergraduates working at tasks that advance faculty research and enhance student experiential learning. Proposed work must relate to the area of the nominated student’s academic training and provide a significant learning outcome. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m., Nov. 21. OSU Women’s Giving Circle Grant Opportunity
I write to invite you to consider submitting a proposal for an OSU Women’s Giving Circle grant. Founded in the spring of 2003 by a group of OSU alumnae and friends, the Women’s Giving Circle has awarded almost $800,000 in grants to enhance the undergraduate experience, directly impact as many OSU students as possible and improve student retention. Last year, the Women’s Giving Circle awarded more than $70,000 to eleven OSU programs.
