Dear OSU Colleagues, We are very pleased to announce that OSU’s Search Committee Training is now available online. Developed in collaboration with the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access and the Office of Institutional Diversity, this 25-minute online training focuses on how to conduct a successful search. Highlights of the content include: –OSU’s hiring philosophy. –Key steps at each stage of a search. –Roles and responsibilities of search committee members. –Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action in the hiring process. –Bias mitigation. –Important resources such as the New Employee Onboarding website. New material in this online training complements OSU’s existing Search Advocate training and is recommended to be completed by all supervisors, search committee chairs and search committee members. HR’s Recruitment team and HR Strategic Partners are available to answer questions about the material or facilitate search committee discussions about how best to implement best practices. At OSU-Cascades, please contact Kelsey Morris or Anthony Parker-Hoang for their expertise. The online training can be accessed directly at https://beav.es/5r5. You will be asked for your ONID credentials if you are not already logged in, then taken to Bridge, the OSU Learning Management System. Alternately, visit https://training.oregonstate.edu and log in as an OSU employee and look for HR Search Committee Training under the Business Services category. An e-certificate will be generated by Bridge when you have completed the online course. We anticipate regularly updating the online course material.
