Primary Purpose: The Department of Chemistry at Idaho State University invites
applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant
Professor beginning August 14, 2022. The candidate should possess a Ph.D. or ABD in
Chemistry or Biochemistry. The successful candidate will have primary teaching
responsibility in lower level chemistry courses and secondary teaching responsibility in
the candidate’s field of expertise. Teaching experience at a university level is a plus.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The position includes
competitive benefits.
Key Responsibilities: The primary responsibility will be teaching but depending on the
candidate’s qualification collaborative research activities can be part of the responsibility.
For this position, the teaching responsibilities will include lower level chemistry courses
and/or courses in the candidate’s field of expertise, including laboratory courses. The
position can be renewed up to 3 years.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in Chemistry or Biochemistry
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at a university level
