The Career Development Center and the College of Science have partnered to host a one-day professional conference for students in the College of Science who are graduating in 2016.
This day-long event will feature workshops, presentations from employers and alumni, and networking opportunities.
Seats are limited to 75 participants. To register, click here.
The (still slightly rough draft) agenda lists a keynote from Dr. Ramesh Krishnamurthy, Chief for Information Systems and Framework of Health Metrics Network at the World Health Organization, and there will be breakout sessions in the afternoon, including in-depth resume and cover letter workshops, interviewing skills, getting one’s foot in the door with federal agencies, and resources for alumni. We’re also offering professional headshots!
The students can register for morning and/or afternoon sessions if they cannot be there all day. We are also offering a dining etiquette lunch, where students will get a great (free!) lunch while learning the ins and outs of dining in a formal setting. This is nice as we’re seeing more and more interviews happen over lunch or dinner! However, a student must be registered for a morning and/or afternoon session to attend the lunch.
