I found out you won the C. Ellen Gonter award this year.
I happened to be a PhD Physical Chemistry from Oregon State 1956!

Now my question. Do you know the origin of the C.Ellen Gonter award?
A Ms Ellen Gonter was my lab partner at Pittsburgh Coke and Chemical Co and fellow student at Carnegie Mellon. Year 1951. I wonder if the ACS award was established by her. She was very interested in environmental issues back then she ended up working at the Taft institute in Cincinnati OH.
I will appreciate any information you may have.
