Fall, CONNECT Week: September 23-29
Competencies (From CONNECT website)

1. Articulate academic expectations
2. Set your own goals for first-year student success
3. Express familiarity with the OSU Learning Goals for Graduates
4. Converse with a member of the OSU faculty or staff
5. Recognize yourself as a part of a community of scholars
6. Develop a connection to fellow OSU students
7. Become familiar with campus and Corvallis

Strategies

1. It Starts Now: All hall staff take residents and stay for event (minus duty staff)
2. RAs will gather residents and take them to specific CONNECT Week programss
3. Scholar Symposium: Half of each hall staff take students to event (staff do not need to stay)
4. New Student Walk: All staff take students (minus duty staff)
5. Convocation: All staff participate in convocation (minus duty staff)
6. New Student Picnic: Half of each hall staff take students and stay for event
7. #BeBeaverBold: Half of each hall staff take students (staff do not need to stay)
8. Friday Night Live: Half of each hall staff take students and stay for event; remaining staff stay in hall/co-op.
