Oregon State has embarked on a far-reaching initiative to create an enhanced First Year Experience (FYE) for our freshmen. Last year, the First Year Experience Task Force spoke with hundreds of campus community members and put forward recommendations for a set of vibrant enhancements and new FYE programs. With fall fast approaching, we are excited to be offering several enhancements for our 2013 new students, and we will continue implementation of the full Task Force recommendations over the next two years. The success of these efforts depends upon the broadest possible support and participation across units dedicated to serving students. We hope this site can serve as a useful resource for professional and student staff as we work to help our residents achieve academic and personal success.
