Job Description
The Environment Health and Safety (EHS) department has an opportunity for a specialist to join their Ergonomics team. Primary responsibility is to provide ergonomics support to Facilities & Asset Management teams to achieve significant reduction in ergonomic related injuries. Primary customers are employees performing facility and maintenance environments across the Puget Sound area, plus support to other locations. Supports site ergonomic injury reduction plans and coordinates solution replication across sites and job codes. Job will require local travel to multiple Boeing locations in the Northwest on a frequent basis and occasional split shift support (1st/2nd shift). The ideal candidate will have strong communication and technical skills to partner with customers to identify ergonomic hazards, develop both interim and long term mitigation options, and help implement the agreed to mitigations.
Customer support may include:

• Providing leadership for ergonomics program implementation.
• Performing ergonomic assessments, providing ergonomic training, providing guidance for ergonomic solutions.
• Working with the appropriate support organizations to improve the manufacturing process through implementation of new technology or processes.
• Evaluating new tool design and process for ergonomic risk assessment and more

The Occupational Health Branch at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) will be recruiting in early 2018 for a Public Health Medical Officer III civil service position located in Richmond, California (San Francisco Bay Area). The duties of the non-supervisory PHMO III position are shared between two major areas: 1) initiating occupational health surveillance, investigation, and intervention activities and providing medical expertise to existing programs including occupational lead poisoning and pesticide illness; and 2) serving as lead for a division-wide Emergency Preparedness Team that focuses on readiness for and response to hazardous material releases and natural disasters that may affect workers and community members.
