  • The data in Foundation Directory Online is compiled from IRS information returns (Forms 990 and 990-PF), grantmaker web sites, annual reports, printed application guidelines, the philanthropic press, and various other sources. In all, the Foundation Center’s editorial staff continually monitors more than 35 diverse information sources to verify the details. The editorial team is also in frequent communication with grantmakers nationwide through telephone calls, surveys, and electronic reporting.

Containing nearly 100,000 citations, American Doctoral Dissertations, 1933-1955, provides full page images of the original print index, and may be searched by author, title, subject and university.

The Master Academic Collection  and Career & Technical Education Collection (request access credentials) combine to provide over 20,000 streaming videos covering a wide range of categories. Romanticism Redefined is a searchable collection of Romantic-era literature focusing on the period between 1800 and 1830. In partnership with Pickering & Chatto Publishers, Alexander Street Press has published canonical and previously unrecognized writers from Britain, the British Empire, and North America.
