What you’ll be doing
You will work closely with leadership, management and frontline employees to create and support organizational excellence through safety programming, disaster preparedness and risk management. This position will identify and reduce risks through policy development, safety program training development and implementation, and coordinate safety teams. The role also includes emergency planning and response through collaboration with agencies like the Oregon Department of Emergency Management and FEMA, provide disaster preparedness training, and maintain a Continuity of Operations Plan. Additionally, this position will manage the agency’s risk management tasks, like claims, risk reports, and consultations.

What we’re looking for
Required Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
A Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field; and two years of experience in Workers’ Compensation insurance loss prevention or as an occupational health and safety representative in an industrial, manufacturing, government, utilities, institutional, or agricultural setting
OR
Five years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety consultation work in an industrial, manufacturing, government, utilities, institutional, or agricultural setting or in Workers’ Compensation insurance loss prevention.
And
A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Requested Skills (Desired Attributes):
- Experience using, applying, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and best practices for worker health.
- Experience facilitating safety committees and conducting workplace safety assessments.
- Experience developing and implementing training programs for diverse audiences.
