  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the development and implementation of proactive ergonomic programs to reduce the risk of employee fatigue, musculoskeletal disorders, repetitive strain injuries, and other workplace related injuries.
  • Prioritize ergonomic issues based on risk and partner with key stakeholders to drive appropriate resolution. Responsible for the development, coordination, and management of ergonomics programs at the site and/or global program management level for offices, facilities, and/or factory operations.
  • May conduct annual ergonomics program self-assessment; develop and implement a prioritized improvement plan to drive compliance. Conduct technical ergonomics assessments using standard industry tools to identify potential ergonomic risks and issues.
  • Design or recommend modifications to workspaces, furniture, tools, and/or equipment; assess and approve new tools for ergonomic risks and mitigations, including layout and design reviews.
  • Conducts ergonomics audits to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal Intel standards.
  • Work with stakeholders, management, and employees to implement regulatory and corporate ergonomic requirements.
  • Investigate and document incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver education and training to employees and management on proper ergonomic practices that prevent or mitigate discomfort or injury.
  • A self-starter with the drive and enthusiasm to serve as an ergonomics champion for the site.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in safety, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Kinesiology, Healthcare, or related field with 2+ years of experience in ergonomics in an industrial work environment, or a Master’s degree with 1 + year in Human Factors/Ergonomics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ergonomics certification (AEP, CPE).
