The Corvallis Montessori School here in town (next door to the North co-op) are looking for a community member to sit on our workplace safety committee.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending a short meeting each month (15 to 30 minutes) to review any concerns raised by staff about workplace safety.
  • 4 safety walk-throughs to complete a facility safety checklist (roughly 1 hour each, September, December, March, and June).

This is a volunteer position but could be a great resume-building experience. I’d also be happy to supply a letter of recommendation on behalf of any individual who can commit through June 2018 and who excels in this capacity.

Interested students can contact me directly (hommela@oregonstate.edu).
