Recruitment and Selection

Some organizations might decide to put more emphasis and effort into producing the best product or service because they are material-focused and have a false sense of business ethics and are really only there for their perceived profits. Instead of putting their focus on doing the best they can at hiring the right employees that are a right fit to grow and thrive in the organization, businesses will try to come up with the next new and big thing that will “revolutionize” the industry but tend to fall short when their employees start becoming dissatisfied, unmotivated and less reliable because of the unstable and incomplete process of hiring the correct employees based on integrity, accountability, and experience because an organization’s most important decisions are on who they choose to hire and be a part of their business. Actions and attitudes are contagious and if they are negative they travel much more quickly because it is easier to cheap out on certain things and to get by without taking the right measure and lengths but will see the long term effects and will start to break down and deteriorate if there is no solid glue and community that keeps them motivated and intact.

A weakness of not prioritizing the recruitment process is you will see a trend of dissatisfaction and lack of motivation because they are not in line with the companies values, goals, and mission and will be detrimental down the road even if they are an attractive employee at first. A strength to not prioritizing the recruitment process is that you will have other time and resources to focus on other portions of your business and if it is a non personable product or service then you might be able to get away with it because there might be independence and profit motivations.
