Hatfield Marine Science Day 2023, 2024
Marine Science Day is an annual event at Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) in Newport, Oregon for community members to connect with laboratories, researchers, and educators to learn more about what is going on behind the “seas” in the world of Ocean Science. In collaboration with scientists from NOAA’s Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC), our Research Assistant (Kelly George) had the opportunity to teach community members about the Kavanaugh Lab’s Imaging Flow Cytobot (IFCB) and demonstrate the instrument’s operation.
