Imaging Flow Cytobot (IFCB)

The OSU Seascape Ecology Laboratory proudly operates two McLane Imaging Flow Cytobots (IFCBs). Our first IFCB, nicknamed “Luci”, is primarily land-based and used for the analysis of preserved phytoplankton samples. Our second IFCB, “Pandora”, is regularly deployed on research cruises conducting in-situ sampling of phytoplankton populations, primarily along the Northern California Current off the West Coast of the US.
