We’re looking for two postdoctoral researchers! If you’re interested, please visit https://beav.es/seascape-postdoc for more information.

The Seascape Ecology Lab at Oregon State University is a collective of Graduate Students, Undergraduate Students, and a Lab Manager, all under the guidance of our dedicated PI, Dr. Maria Kavanaugh.

We strive to create a safe, collaborative, diverse, and welcoming learning and working environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and success in research and academic endeavors.

In our lab, students and faculty work together on a wide variety of projects from analyzing phytoplankton biodiversity through flow cytometry, to fisheries outreach and collaboration, to satellite imaging and remote sensing assessments of ocean fronts along the coast of the Pacific Northwest.

“Research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose.”
– Zora Neale Hurston
