UPDATE ON CL@SE FROM CINDY SAGERS

This month I made the decision to reorganize operations of Oregon State University’s Center for Latino Studies and Engagement – CL@SE. This reorganization will include an assessment of how to build sufficient funding to sustainably support CL@SE’s mission and operations, and how best to advance its research and engagement agenda.  CL@SE remains a priority of the University, the Research Office, Oregon State’s Division of Outreach and Engagement working with colleges and departments throughout Oregon State. Over the next weeks, I will meet with OSU colleagues and members of Oregon’s Latino community to discuss leadership and strategic initiatives of CL@SE. Our challenge will be to devise a plan that advances the mission of CL@SE and its reputation for research and engagement of Latino culture. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have questions/concerns or receive inquiries from colleagues. I will keep you updated on our progress!

RECYCLE CONTAINERS IN THE KITCHEN

A friendly reminder to please not leave your orange recycle containers in the kitchen…even if you cleaned them (you know you are!). It’s up to everyone to take their own containers to the receptacles…closest of which is in front of Kerr. Thanks for being respectful when using our shared small kitchen space!
