OPEN HOUSE SET FOR OSU’S PORT ORFORD FIELD STATION
For the past two years, Oregon State University has operated a field station on the coast at Port Orford – a site where researchers could set up shop, public meetings were held, and OSU outreach specialists could interact with the public. The facility is expanding its role in supporting coastal research, outreach and education. An open house will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the station, located at 444 Jackson St. in Port Orford. The event is designed to introduce the public to the station and to the research that is performed there. It is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be provided. ACCOUNT UNIFICATION ON NOV. 9
The Research Office CN and Onid accounts will be unified on November 9. This means you will have 1 account and password for logging into OSU resources, instead of using CN for some services and ONID for others. IMPORTANT NOTE from Community Network: “We don’t want to unify anyone who’s traveling on the 9th or 10th, as it could affect their ability to reach OSU resources from off campus.” Please let Stephen know at stephen.hotard@oregonstate.edu if you anticipate being out of the office that day so that we can provide a list of these users to Community Network.
FAREWELL TO MEGAN
A fond farewell and best wishes for OSRAA’s Megan McEvoy. Megan’s last day is November 6. She is relocating back to Medford, OR. Best wishes to Megan!
