FFT2 qualification required. Participants are expected to have completed basic wildland firefighter training (FFT2) or be currently enrolled in an FFT2 course that will result in their FFT2 qualification before the prescribed burn exercise date in October. OSU typically offers FFT2 training through its Guard School, which is available in both credit and non-credit options. Watch for details here. Other FFT2 trainings are available through wildland fire agencies, fire departments, and some community colleges.
