FFT2 or RXCM qualification required. Participants are expected to have completed basic wildland firefighter training (FFT2) or presribed fire crew member (RXCM) or be currently enrolled in an FFT2/RXCM course that will result in their qualification before the prescribed burn exercise date in October. OSU typically offers FFT2/RXCM training through its Guard School, which is available in both credit and non-credit options. Watch for details here. Other FFT2/RXCM trainings are available through wildland fire agencies, fire departments, and some community colleges.
