Here’s how to use branded icons in Word:
Choose the icon you want and use the .svg file format.
Insert into your document and resize if needed (insert picture).
With your graphic selected go to ‘Graphic Format’ and select ‘Graphics Fill’.
In the drop down menu, select ‘More Fill Colors’.
This is where you will type in the brand color that you want to change your icon to.
And the icon has a new color!
We have added to our library of icons! Over the past week, we have created and uploaded a number of new icons for you to use in your designs. Icons are created in eps, png and svg file formats. Icons are a great way to add some visual interest to your design. Guidelines of icon use can be found here in our brand site, as well as how to download them.
The icons are sorted into categories for ease of searching. The categories are:
Photos, templates and icons are added all the time to the university’s brand downloads. While notifications can’t be sent out whenever something gets updated, it is possible to see the latest additions to the downloads.
For example, we’ve added some new icons this past month. Go into one of the subject folders and arrange them by date by selecting ‘Updated’ above the list. Now you can see the most recent files we’ve added.
We’ll send out monthly updates on what’s been added to the downloads, but it never hurts to check often. Thank you and good luck.
