NEW! Survey Responses Needed: Share Perceptions of Health and Safety in Corvallis
Audrey Davis, a chemical engineering undergraduate student is requesting your participation in a survey they are conducting as part of their honors thesis study. This survey aims to document perceptions of the health and safety of recreation in the Willamette River within the Corvallis community. Responses will be kept anonymous and summaries of results will be reported in Audrey’s thesis. The link to the survey is here. Marine and Coastal Opportunities (MACO) Peer Advising
MACO offers info on Coastal courses, Clubs, Internships, Research, and other academic opportunities! No appointment necessary, just drop into Strand 300 on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. during weeks 1-9.

WEEKLY! HCSA Meeting
Join the Honors College Association (HCSA) for weekly club meetings! HCSA is a student-led club that plans activities for Honors College students. HCSA puts together social events, academic events, professional development events, and more. Join HCSA and help make great events happen! The Honors College Student Association holds general meetings every Monday from 5-6:00 p.m. in LInC 343. If you are an Ecampus student and you are ever interested in attending virtually, please email HCSA at honorshcsa@oregonstate.edu or contact the Honors College office directly for more information and to get a zoom link. If you see an HCSA event that you would like to participate in from afar, if we have advance notice we can try to send you program supplies/items to join.

Thesis Navigator Drop-In hours in the SLUG and on Zoom:
HC Thesis Resource Navigators will be hosting drop-in hours in the SLUG and on Zoom for any questions you might have regarding your thesis. If you’re unsure where to begin, having trouble identifying mentors to connect with, or not sure how to write your Thesis Proposal (among other things), our navigators are here to guide you in the right direction. If you are unable to make it to any of their drop-in sessions, feel free to reach out to them directly by completing the Request a Navigator webform.

Stage 4 Thesis Drop-In Workshop Hours
The HC is excited to offer drop-in thesis hours for students who are in stage 4 of their thesis! These will be happening in LInC 450 and on Zoom, where they’ll run Monday through Friday from 4-5 p.m through the end of spring term. Whether you’re grappling with formatting challenges for your pre-text pages, have questions about the external communication requirement, or encounter any other thesis-related issues, this is your opportunity to seek assistance! Honors College Academic Advising Canvas Page
All HC students have access to the Honors College Academic Advising Canvas Page. This is a great resource where you can discover anything from instructions on finding honors courses to navigating the thesis process after you’ve completed the HC 408 Stage 1 thesis class. For students ready for the next steps with their thesis, this page can help with finding a thesis mentor, registering for your thesis credits, submitting your proposal and so much more.
Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU App
Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU is an app that gives all OSU students, including Ecampus students, 24/7 access by text or phone with a licensed mental health counselor (MySSP stands for “My Student Support Program”). The app makes it easy to schedule short-term counseling appointments with the same ongoing counselor and provides educational materials covering mental health topics. Students can communicate with a counselor in five different languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Spanish or English); additional language options are available upon request. Ecampus
Interested in Graduate or Professional School? Take GRAD 420 (Ecampus)
Applying for graduate or professional school can be a daunting task. Add GRAD 420 to your spring class schedule. How and where to apply, how to choose an advisor, what to look for in a school, and how to obtain funding are hurdles to overcome during the application process. Supplemental materials will be provided as part of the course materials. Thanks to a surge of interest, a second section of the course has been added for Spring. Learn more in the GRAD 420 course overview video. 1 credit (Ecampus).
DSI 415H, MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGN FOR SOCIAL IMPACT, 4 Credits (Via Ecampus)
Need help finding a thesis research project? DSI 415/415H utilizes design thinking and methodologies through project and multidisciplinary team-based learning to develop real-world solutions to complex problems of importance in society. It promotes collaboration across arts, business, engineering, humanities, and the sciences as well as other disciplines. Projects are sponsored by real clients like non-profit organizations or research faculty at OSU. Some honors students have used this class as an opportunity to kick start their thesis work and identify a faculty research mentor. Ecampus enrollment restriction ends week 10 and on campus students may enroll.

Scholarship & Financial Aid Opportunities
Graduate-Level Scholarship with Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program
Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University invites you to attend an upcoming in-person information session at Oregon State University on Monday, April 13 at 5:00 PM in STAG 262, where an admission officer will speak about the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program, scholar experience, and admission process and answer your questions. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program is a graduate-level scholarship aimed at preparing the next generation of global leaders to address the increasingly complex challenges facing the world. Knight-Hennessy Scholars will annually select up to 100 high-achieving students with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment, who will receive funding to pursue a graduate education at Stanford. Scholars may pursue studies at any of the university’s seven internationally top-ranked graduate schools, and will be educated to navigate across business, government, academia, and the nonprofit sectors. Honors College 2026-2027 Scholarship Application
The Honors College recognizes that paying the differential tuition associated with HC enrollment can present a significant challenge. The Honors College Differential Tuition Scholarship is designed to make sure that students who are fully engaged with their HC education are not forced to withdraw due to the cost of enrollment in the college. Supported by donations from the Honors College community, Differential Tuition Scholarships are for $810-$1,620 for one academic year. The application for 2026-2027 Differential Tuition Scholarships will open Mon, Mar. 16. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Sun, Apr. 19. All students who wish to be considered for a 2026-2027 continuing student scholarship in the Honors College should apply to the Honors College Differential Tuition Scholarship through ScholarDollars. Only returning and continuing Honors College students who are making progress toward completion of Honors College degree requirements are eligible to receive a scholarship. Honors College Emergency Grant
The Honors College Emergency Grant supports students facing unexpected expenses related to housing and/or meals, course materials or equipment for a class, healthcare and/or mental healthcare costs, vehicle repairs necessary for travel to class, and/or travel home for family emergencies. Grants are for up to $500, with a limit of two grants during your time in the HC. Only expenses related to the above list are eligible for emergency grant support, per university policy. Tuition or other general costs of enrollment are not eligible for funding.
HC Experiential Learning Scholarship
The Honors College Experiential Learning Scholarship supports student engagement in the honors thesis (thesis proposal required), attendance at professional or academic conferences, payment of non-tuition fees associated with honors courses, or participation in an honors study abroad program. Applications are reviewed based on need, and the maximum award is $750. See here for additional information. Applications can be submitted through ScholarDollars and evaluated on a rolling basis.
Professional Development & Job Opportunities
NEW! Student Job: JumpstART Night Shift RA
JumpstART is a one week residential camp at Oregon State University for +/-fifty high school
students. The program blends studio art classes, visiting artist lectures, and evening activities.
The Residential staff will be employed for a one week period, Sunday, June 21-Friday, June 26.
This includes mandatory training on Sunday, June 21th, and any other times as determined by
the camp director.
Residential Assistant’s (RA) primary charge is to provide supervision for participants and ensure
their safety and well-being. Night Shift RAs supervise participants during the night when
campers are asleep in the dorms, in the morning when campers are getting ready and at

Apply to be a Peace Corps Campus Ambassador!
Campus ambassadors are undergraduate and/or graduate college students who raise the Peace Corps’ profile on campus and introduce the agency’s mission to student groups.
- Average 5 hours of work per week
- Use your personal social media to promote the Peace Corps
- $3200 stipend per year with commitment for full academic year
- Returned Peace Corps Volunteers are encouraged to apply but it’s not required to have participated in the Peace Corps to be a Campus Ambassador. Coverdell Fellows are also eligible to apply. The only requirement is to be enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student at OSU currently.

CARE is hosting Lights of Hope, a Relay for Life event honoring cancer survivors, remembering loved ones lost and bringing the OSU community together to support the American Cancer Society. Join us on Friday, May 8, from 4–9 p.m. at the Memorial Union Quad for an evening of reflection, community and connection. Academic Success Center Online Workshops
Workshops are a great way to improve your writing, create better study habits, or learn a new skill. This list of online workshops is offered as a resource to succeed on campus:
Every fall, winter and spring, the Academic Success Center offer an online workshop series on academic success topics. Workshops are held weeks 2 through 10 and cover a variety of topics to support you in your learning and study at OSU.
The Writing Center in the Valley Library offers workshops as an opportunity to engage with other students around writing topics. All workshops are 50 minutes long and take place via Zoom
