From Academic English to Undergraduate Pathway Programs
Completion of AE Level 4 with a minimum C in all graded classes*
AND
P (pass) in all Pass/No Pass classes
Undergraduate Pathway bound students without the minimum accepted test scores required for undergraduate Pathway entry may not be placed higher than AE Level 4.

From Academic English to Undergraduate Conditional Admission
Completion of AE Level 4 with a minimum C in all graded classes*
AND
P (pass) in all Pass/No pass classes
Undergraduate CAP bound students without the minimum accepted test scores required for undergraduate CAP entry may not be placed higher than AE Level 4.

From Academic English to Direct Undergraduate Admission
Completion of AE Level 6 with a minimum C in all graded classes*
AND
P (pass) in all Pass/No pass classes

From Academic English to Graduate Pathway Programs
Completion of AE Level 5 with a minimum C in all graded classes*
AND
P (pass) in all Pass/No pass classes
Graduate Pathway bound students without the minimum accepted test scores required for graduate Pathway entry may not be placed higher than AE Level 5.

From Academic English to Direct Graduate Admission
Completion of AE Level 6 with a minimum grades of B in all graded classes*
AND Pass all elective courses
AND Are in good attendance standing
Grad School may require submission of TOEFL/IELTS scores and may review applicants before accepting a student to a particular Graduate School program.

From General English to Academic English Program
Students in General English levelĀ 2 may progress into Academic English level 3 automatically upon meeting the in-program level progression requirements.
Students in General English levels 3, 4 and 5 will be administered an additional placement test. Placement test results will determine Academic English level based on the results.

From General English to Undergraduate and Graduate Pathway and Direct Programs

There is no progression directly from General English to Academic programs without requisite scores in TOEFL or equivalent tests. Students in General English with academic goals are encouraged to transfer into the Academic English program.
