Student Services
INTO OSU provides a range of services to support students’ language study and enhance their OSU experience. These include arrival and settling in assistance, facilitating access to basic financial, medical, and recreational facilities, and help with visa questions. For new students there are several orientation sessions as well as city and campus tours. Students are also given a 24-hour emergency telephone number that can be used to ask for assistance at any time of the day or night. Other student services include a conversation partner program, a tutor program and a wide range of trips, parties and other out of class activities such as bowling night, movie night, dining out with friends, welcome receptions, and the end of term party. In addition, the student services office helps students connect with campus-wide events such as dances, sports and cultural events.

The American Survival course is a series of weekly, one-hour sessions presented by the Student Services Office especially for new students. In these sessions students discuss OSU services, health and safety issues, and American culture.

Student Services is based in room 175 of the ILLC.

Academic Support
Academic Support is the unit that supports the academic programs in areas such as registration in classes; assisting students with program changes; monitoring attendance; producing reports and with all student and program related data.

The Academic Support team is based in room 182 of the ILLC.

OSU International Admissions
The INTO OSU Center houses the OSU International Admissions Office.  This office processes all undergraduate international student applications for OSU whether the student is destined for OSU direct or INTO OSU preparatory programs.

The Admissions office is based in room 181 of the ILLC.

Finance
INTO OSU has its own Finance team who deal with all financial matters regarding the running and operation of the INTO OSU Center.

The Finance office is based in room 175 of the ILLC.

IT
INTO OSU has a small IT unit. The IT unit does not deal with computer issues within the Center, which fall under the remit of OSU Community Network. IT supports the operational side of the Center in areas such as automating processes and reports.

The IT office is based in room 177C of the ILLC.

Human Resources
INTO OSU has a small HR unit that is responsible for HR issues relating to INTO OSU employees.  The HR for all OSU employees based in the INTO OSU Center is the responsibility of OSU and is managed by Leanna Ott and Brenda Marcum in the University Administration Business Center.

The INTO OSU HR office is based in 175 of the ILLC.

Marketing and Recruitment
Although the majority of the marketing and recruitment is conducted outside the Center, there is an internal unit that communicates with the INTO Regional Offices that are based around the world.  This unit seeks to market and recruit to both OSU and INTO OSU programs.

The Marketing and Recruitment office is based in 177B of the ILLC.

Academic Success
The INTO OSU Academic Success Coordinator, Candace Pierson-Charlton, assists Pathway students with time management and other study related issues, coordinates access to tutoring assistance, and helps connect students with the academic life of the university. Other responsibilities include coordination of pathways orientation sessions and maintenance of the pathways honor roll.

If you notice students who are struggling academically, please let them know that the Success Coordinator is available to assist them.

INTO OSU Student Care and Conduct
When students come to you with issues that are not really academic or even INTO OSU related, how you respond will depend on the case. Just having a sympathetic listener often means a lot. On the other hand, common sense and long experience strongly suggest that teachers should not attempt to assist with what appear to be mental health issues. When problems go beyond a teacher’s ability to provide help, the first thing to do is to raise your concern with the Care and Conduct Coordinator, Emily Lawton.

Emily will assist the student in making contact with other campus resources that are available, such as the following:
