Campus Recycling has joined forces with the Healthy Campus Initiative and Student Dietetic Association on a tap water promotion campaign called “Fresh From the Faucet.”
“Fresh from the Faucet” is a project that encourages students at Oregon State to save their money on sugary beverages and tap into their health by choosing tap water as the number one beverage on campus! We want to help students get the recommended 8 cups of water a day, while also conserving natural resources associated with purchasing and disposing of bottled water.

“There is a ‘fresh from the tap’ spigot on the Java II level; it’s between the men and women’s restrooms. Java II also supplies complementary ice water and cups at the condiment bar. As far as I know, there’s not a hot water tap on this floor. However, just ask anyone working at Java II and we’ll be happy to give you hot water.”
Some of the locations on the map are filtered tap water fountains rather than units that heat and chill the water, and this is one of them. Thanks for your question!
I love the filtered water stations around campus. However, I notice that the filtered water source map shows Java II at Valley Library, but there doesn’t seem to be one of the machines there. There is a manual clear plastic water dispenser at Java II, but it was empty when I was looking for the hot/cold filtered water dispenser on the map. It would be great to have filtered water in the library. Thanks!
