Highlights

Asian & Pacific Cultural Center Gathering Space

In light of the Equity and Social Justice conversation on anti-Asian violence and support for students, the APCC invites students who identify as Asian, Asian American, and BIPOC into a gathering and processing space on Thursday, April 1 from 6:00-7:30 pm. This time will be a time to connect and be in community. You must RSVP here to receive the link for the event, and if you have any questions or accessibility accommodations reach out to Sara Caldwell-Kan.

National Nutrition Month Event

March is National Nutrition Month organized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign was created to educate and inform the public of the importance of making conscientious food choices, and instilling well-founded eating and physical activity habits. In honor of this campaign, NDC is hosting an event on March 31st from 6:00-7:00 pm for students to receive boxes in the mail with locally sourced goods from Oregon. We will talk about the campaign and have a social hour in addition! To learn more about the event and find the Zoom meeting information, click here.

PTAH Club

The PTAH Club will be meeting again this spring term! The club supports students that are interested in the allied health fields, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, nursing, physician assistant studies and medical school. It provides students with the opportunity to advance their knowledge in a field of interest, connect with other students, provide volunteer and job opportunities, and raise awareness for individuals with disabilities through fundraising events. This term, they will be meeting Monday nights at 7:00pm. If you want to be added to the email list, contact club president Bianca Reinalda.

Ending White Supremacy

White-identified students are invited to attend a virtual session on Thursday, April 8 5-7 PM to discuss how to practically and genuinely dismantle white supremacy. Discussion will be led by members of the OSU Stronghold. Stronghold’s Philosophy affirms: “We ground our white and white-passing affinity group work in education, practice and accountability. We aim to provide a space of rigorous learning without reproducing patterns of intellectualizing and disembodiment.” Students are required to register ahead of time.
