This week the OSS staff members are feeling extra ready for the long anticipated and still not quite present, Pacific Northwest fall season. Picking out the just right pumpkin, snuggling up with a favorite hot beverage, pulling on those, oh so comfy, sweatpants, just doesn’t feel the same with all the warm days and sun we’ve been having. But with the warm, dry weather, there are extra opportunities to explore some of the awesome outdoor spaces on campus. So if you have a chance check out some of these hidden gems this week.

New Faces in the OSS- Welcome Allison Hagihara

Allison is the third new advisor to join the OSS team this fall. Allison graduated from Washington State University with majors in Foreign Languages and Cultures—Spanish and Linguistics. One of her favorite classes in college was Sociolinguistics. Allison loves going to Allan’s for coffee or American Dream Pizza for cookies. One of the many quotes that influences her life is from a cinematic genius, Edna Mode. “I never look back darling, it distracts from the now.” Allison is an auntie to a 5 year old nephew Henry and an 11 month old niece Eleanor, but the most important role she plays is auntie to her brother’s 6-year old golden doodle Luby.
