Postcards to Public Health Workers

  • A way to recognize our public health workforce and how hard they have worked during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Anyone can make/contribute postcards of gratitude, w/ virtual postcards available
  • Cards will be compiled and sent out to all 32 local public health agencies across Oregon

LGBTQ+ Development Research Opportunity

  • Research focus: how racially diverse LGBTQ+ young adults experience and respond to inequalities
  • How: by developing a measure of coping with discrimination and studying how personal and contextual factors relate to coping 
  • Seeking 1-2 undergrads to help in Winter 2022 (and possibly Spring 2022)
    • Priority given to HDFS students, juniors, and seniors
  • Time commitment: 3-9 hours/week

Graduate Fellowships in Adapted P.E. Teaching

  • UW-La Crosse seeking 6-7 students to start program in mid-June 2022 for our 4-semester program (summer, fall, spring, summer)
  • Graduate assistantship financial packages available (up to $31,000)
  • Graduates have a 100% placement rate all over the country from Alaska to Virginia

  • List of ~140 scholarships for undergrad and graduate students

CPHHS Scholarship Applications for 2022-23

  • Application deadline: February 15th, 2022
  • CPHHS scholarships applied through ScholarDollars portal
  • All submitted CPHHS scholarship applications to be reviewed and scored based on the open-ended questions
  • If awarded, offer letters emailed to nominees around mid-spring term (about Week 5-6)
    • If not accepted by deadline, offer will be given to another student

Renaissance Scholarship

  • Freshman and sophomore years eligible
  • $4,000 renewable scholarship open to high-achieving, low-income, and first-generation students

Ford Scholarship Program for Adults or Single Parents Over 25

  • Application deadline: Tuesday, March 1st, 2022
  • Ford Opportunity Program assists adult learners to obtain a college degree
    • Originally a program just for single parents so they are still strongly encouraged to apply
  • Scholarship amount: covers 90% of unmet college costs and is calculated on the college’s Cost of Attendance
