Andy is attending in the Global Genome Initiative’s Capturing Genomes Workshop April 18 & 19 at the National Museum of Natural History, Washington DC.

Andy is off to Panama next week participate in a Dimensions of Biodiversity workshop. The goal is to create a number of collaborative research projects between US NSF and the Panamanian Science Foundation (SENACYT).

Andy has joined the faculty of the molecular and cellular biology graduate program at OSU.  Prospective graduate students should check out the MCB website

New publication on comparative genetic structure and demographic history in four Neotropical trees was recently published in the Journal of Biogeography by Andy, Ivania Ceron-Souza, Denise Hardesty, and Chris Dick.  Online early version can be found here

Andy is co-organizing a workshop on tree genetics and genomics as part of the CTFS genomics working group.  The workshop will take place at the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) on November 9 & 10.  The goal of the workshop is to foster creative discussion and forge a road ahead for incorporating genomic data…
