The committee wanted to provide an update on the JSB.  We’re finalizing the furniture layout and will soon be choosing the fabrics and finishes for the furniture.  This post will feature some of the seating that will be in the JSB common areas.  Some of these seating options are in the Student Experience Center.  This post notes where you can find them in case you’re headed over to the SEC Open House today.

The chair for our conference rooms is the Steelcase Qivi with overflow seating in the largest conference room accommodated by the Alight bench.  The back of the Qivi seat tilts and the seat glides forward and back to allow a comfortable seating position to be found.  This video provides details on how the chair moves.  The committee was able to try it out in our visit to the furniture vendor and found it comfortable.  If you would like to try out the Qivi chair, you can find an armless version of it in the SEC in nearly all of the offices.  Specific locations – 110 ASOSU office, 112 International Resource Center behind the reception desk, 306 Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life conference room.

The Steelcase Move chair and tall stool will be some of the seating located in our lobby/break room.  The breakroom will feature armless move chairs and stools.  Examples of the Move chair and stool are located all over in the SEC.  Specific locations – large common area on the west side of the 1st floor, 112 International Resource Center, 2nd floor hallway seating.  In addition to the Move chairs and stools paired with tables, the lobby/break room will also feature two booths, from the Lagunitas line of furniture.

The living rooms are several different styles.  On version will feature upholstered furniture, specifically the Jenny Club chair in the armless version.  Some of the living rooms will feature the Cobi chair with arms and caster wheels  Some of these will also feature the Alight Ottoman for additional seating.
